The 7-DUTCH Differences

Dutch Adrenal Metabolism

The DUTCH Adrenal urine test offers insights similar to saliva testing but with additional metabolite measurements, enhancing understanding of cortisol production. It assesses daily free cortisol, cortisone, cortisol metabolites (a-THF and b-THF), cortisone metabolites (b-THE), and DHEA-S.

Dutch Complete (Adrenal + Sex Hormone)

The DUTCH Complete test evaluates 35 sex and adrenal hormones, including estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, and cortisol, with metabolites. It also measures daily free cortisol and cortisone patterns, 8-OHdG, melatonin, and nine organic acids, including markers for B12, B6, biotin, glutathione, dopamine, norepinephrine/epinephrine, neuroinflammation, and tryptophan putrefaction, offering insights into hormonal and metabolic health.

Dutch Cycle Mapping

DUTCH Cycle Mapping™ tracks progesterone and estrogen levels throughout the menstrual cycle, aiding in understanding month-specific symptoms, infertility, and PCOS. By measuring nine targeted hormones across different phases, it provides insights into follicular, ovulatory, and luteal phases. This comprehensive approach captures hormonal patterns crucial for assessing fertility and hormonal balance, revealing disruptions that may lead to infertility or hormonal imbalances.

£312

Dutch Cycle Mapping + Complete (HOR30+HOR33)

DUTCH Cycle Mapping™ with Complete provides a comprehensive view of a woman’s menstrual cycle, assessing progesterone and oestrogen patterns alongside 35 sex and adrenal hormones, including metabolites. It tracks daily free cortisol and cortisone, oxidative stress marker 8-OHdG, melatonin, and nine organic acids. This aids in addressing month-specific symptoms, infertility, and hormone imbalances.

£390

Dutch Cycle Mapping + Plus (HOR33+HOR43)

DUTCH Cycle Mapping+ Plus assesses 35 sex and adrenal hormones, diurnal cortisol and cortisone patterns, Cortisol Awakening Response (CAR), 8-OHdG, melatonin and nine organic acids for vitamin and neurotransmitter analysis. This test aids in understanding menstrual cycle dynamics, fertility issues, and hormone imbalances, especially with suspected HPA axis dysregulation.

£459

Dutch Cycle Mapping + CAR (HOR30+HOR44)

DUTCH Plus offers a thorough assessment of 35 sex and adrenal hormones, including their metabolites, providing insights into hormonal balance. It analyses the pattern of free cortisol and cortisone, emphasising the Cortisol Awakening Response. Additionally, it measures 8-OHdG, melatonin, and nine organic acids, including markers for B vitamins, glutathione, dopamine, and neuroinflammation.

£319

Dutch Sex Hormone Metabolism

The DUTCH Sex Hormone Metabolism test offers a thorough assessment of sex hormone metabolism, aiding in identifying root causes of imbalances. It is useful for baseline measurements and monitoring hormone replacement therapy, offering precise monitoring for vaginal hormone and oral progesterone.

DUTCH (Dried Urine Test for Comprehensive Hormones) is a groundbreaking methodology that sets a new standard in hormone metabolite testing, surpassing traditional saliva and blood tests.

While traditional hormone diagnostics provide limited information about hormonal status, the DUTCH Test provides practitioners with a complete picture of patient hormone levels and metabolism to help solve complex clinical questions with easy at-home collection.

The dials are read like gas gauges. Located between the stars is the luteal phase range for a cycling woman. The small purple rectangular box represents the post-menopausal range. While not all dials include a post-menopausal range, reference ranges are provided.

In urine, progesterone does not show up like it would in a blood draw however the 2 metabolites that correlate really well are known as a(alpha)-pregnanediol or b(beta)-pregnanediol.

The beta metabolite is the most abundant in the human body. The alpha metabolite can break down even further in the body to create ALLO. This crosses up into the brain and binds to the calming GABA-a receptors, helping you also feel CALM and less anxious.

Below that are estrogens – estrone, estradiol and estriol.

Below estrone is phase 1 detoxification. The goal is to go down the green pathway (2-OH). The 4-OH pathway is the red pathway, which has a higher risk for DNA damage.

In the lower left corner is part of phase 2 detoxification, indicated by 2-methoxy-E1 as methylation.

The upper left corner is androgens such as DHEA-S and testosterone.

Melatonin production from the pineal gland in the brain is known to decline with age, starting at about 50 years old.

On the right-hand side, we see the total DHEA.

Below that, we find metabolised cortisol and 24-hour free cortisol along with other cortisol-related dials.
